For Participating Students
• Increase confidence by achieving high musical and personal goals.

• Perform in a concert group of size and quality that may not be available in their home community.
• Become a leader to motivate peers in their school and community to strive for excellence.

For Schools and School Music Programs
• Acquire leadership from the dedication, enthusiasm and excellence of Honors Project students.
• Raise standards of excellence and performance potential based on the Honors performances.
• Share the pride of accomplishment and recognition when a student from the community participates in a State Honors group.
• Provide motivation to talented youth who have the opportunity to audition for the State Honors Music Project as an extension of the school music program.
