Ideas
for School Involvement
Schools all over Wisconsin are getting involved in the campaign
to build the Wisconsin Center for Music Education. This is important,
since schools will be the primary "users" of the Center.
It is important to show other donors that our members support
the Center and will use it when it arrives.
WSMA has approximately 1,000 members schools all over Wisconsin.
If every member school made a contribution, it would be a very
significant part of the campaign. Thank you to those schools
that have already contributed!
List
of Donors
How can your school get involved in the campaign? Try one of
the following fundraising ideas at your next event, or come
up with a better idea! Every contribution is special and gets
us closer to our goal. Thanks for your support!
- Take up a goodwill offering at an upcoming concert.
- Have a benefit concert for the Center - WSMA will provide
handouts and other information as requested.
- Donate one night's concession stand revenue to the campaign.
- Write a letter to parents asking them to contribute $1-5
per student to support the campaign.
- If your school is hosting a district solo & ensemble
festival this year, put out a box for donations either in
the cafeteria or near
the ratings area. WSMA will provide a picture of the Center
and poster to display with the box if requested.
- Ask each student participating in solo & ensemble
events this spring to contribute $1 to the campaign.
